The Textfile

I initially thought of writing this back on Saturday, December 10, 2005, while walking around the Houma suburb of Bayou Cane.

I wrote it in late 2005 and most of 2006, then deleted it in the early 2010s.

At the time of writing the original version I had a severely outdated laptop which I wrote my stories on. They were saved as plain text files, so I code named this story, “The Textfile.”

I wrote it again and modernized it in 2017, and finished it in July of 2019.

I am a Believer in Christ and I mostly gravitate towards Baptist doctrine, because I find it to be most conformed with The Bible and I find that they are friendly and good natured Christian people.

I will admit that I wish there would be a church that teaches sound doctrine and Biblical principles like the Baptists do, but also encourage [true] Spiritual gifts like [some] Pentecostal and Charismatic churches do. We probably won’t see a church like that on this side of Glory though.

It is ultimately a love story between twenty-two year old dockyard mechanic, Grayson Thomas and eighteen year old aspiring writer, Anna Ryan.

I know that those read this story when it was available enjoyed it.   Also many people who read the original version back in 2006 also enjoyed it.  However, there is a good bit of sin in this story and The Good Lord started to withold blessings from my life for making it public.  When I asked Him why my blessings were being witheld, He told me because of the cohabitation and frequent lusting, even though there was no fornication that took place in here.  Because such themes do not honor God, I took it down in order to make it right.  My walk with God is more important to me than what my readers think of me, believe it or not…Sorry not sorry.
