This story came to me from a dream I had in March of 2007, some of which I think was inspired by an episode of “As The World Turns.”
I began writing this in the late Spring of 2012. I finished my first version of it later that year but would end up revising it several times over.
I made my final version of it either in the latter parts of the 2010s or very former parts of the 2020s.
I fine tuned it and tied some loose ends up very recently and am now ready to share it with the world.
The setting for this story Rural America in between the late 1960s and mid 1980s.
One could assume that the specific physical location could be narrowed down to either in the Midwest or the South, due to the frequent bouts of Severe Weather including Tornadoes in those regions.
At it’s core, it is a love story between a tradesman and botanical gardener.
The two main characters/lovers are named “Cade Jennings” and “Amelia Schriever.” Those names come from towns situated along a former Southern Pacific Railroad line in South Louisiana.
Without further ado, here it is:
I think it is obvious that my two main characters in this story are definitely in love, and a good bit of lust as well. Unfortunately, they sinned by fornicating but they know that need to get it right with a Holy God.
