Zachary put his Cobalt in gear and headed to Target as he prayed, “Heavenly Father, thank you for all that you have blessed me with today and every day. Thank you especially for sending Tiffany into my life and please allow us to stay together. Lord I now ask that you grant me traveling grace wherever I must go. Please help me to line my life up totally with Your Word and to honor and glorify You in all that I do. In Jesus’ Name, I make these requests to You, Amen, and thank You, Lord.”
Zachary then drove in silence to Target, in hopes to purchase a Wenger SwissGear backpack. He was laser-focused on purchasing one, not only because it was well made, but also because he felt that the Swiss Cross emblem that is shown on those products would be an excellent form of witness wear.
In time, he arrived at Target and made a beeline for the luggage section.
He carefully examined each backpack that interested him until finally settling for one selling for $49.99+tax. It was black red and grey, fabricated very well, and seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Zachary grabbed it and then headed immediately to check out where he completed his purchase.
He then walked to his Cobalt and entered on the driver’s side, placing his newly purchased backpack on the back passenger seat. He then sat down, put his car in gear, and prayed once again, “Dear Heavenly, thank you for blessing me with this new backpack and of course all that you have blessed me with throughout my life. Thank you, especially for Tiffany and please keep us together. Please also allow us to honor you with our relationship and our lives. Now Lord I ask you to grant me safe travels and allow me to complete the remainder of my tasks and have a wonderful evening with Tiffany later. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.”
Zachary then drove to his apartment, parked, and walked up the stairs to his unit. He unlocked the door, then began placing some of his everyday items in that backpack, such as his Victorinox Tinker Swiss Army Knife, Several composition books, his Asus Eee PC netbook with charger, some writing instruments, a Mini Maglite flashlight for backup to his Fenix E21 and his Midland HH50B Weather Radio. Zachary felt better prepared now and had been desiring to get into the habit of everyday carry. He had seen the ideas on several forums, but seeing Tiffany with her Wenger SwissGear messenger bag was the ultimate catalyst.
After organizing his new backpack to his liking, Zachary then began to set up his newly acquired computer.
He began to pray, “Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for blessing me with this computer. I thank You for all else that you blessed me with throughout my life. I realize that this machine may need some work done, but I ask that you give me the wisdom and knowledge required to get it working. Please guide my hands and my mind, Gracious Lord. In Jesus’ Name, I make this request, Amen.”
Zachary started the CPU and connected it to his monitor keyboard and mouse then turned it on. He quickly realized that it needed an operating system, so he decided to install Ubuntu 12.04 which he had downloaded and burned to CD a few days in preparation for this. The installation went smoothly and soon he had the PC running like a brand new machine. He then began to transfer all of his writings, music, pictures, and videos to the new computer which took some time. Finally, he logged onto eBay and ordered a Fenix E11 personal-sized flashlight for Tiffany to keep in her messenger bag. It would also compliment the Fenix E21 that he EDCed.
After all, was finished, Zachary looked at the time on his G-Shock and saw that it was now quarter to five, so he washed himself up, shaved, and donned a black pair of dress pants and an evergreen workshirt, then called Tiffany.
“Hey, you!” She answered with happiness.
“Sweetheart, I was calling to tell you that I have completed all my tasks of the day. So I now wish to take you out to dinner. Would you prefer an Italian Buffet or a Chinese Buffet? Or would you want something different than those?”
“An Italian buffet sounds amazing. Actually, I’ve never been to an Italian buffet, so let’s go there!”
“Awesome, sweetheart. I was hoping you would say that.”
Tiffany then asked, “Are you driving right now?”
“No, I am still in my apartment.”
“Good. I don’t want you talking or texting and driving. I want you to be safe.”
“I promise you, sweetheart, I shall not talk or text while driving. But, if it’s all right with you, I’ll head your way.”
“Okay, bae. I’ll get ready.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too, bae.”
Zachary and Tiffany then ended the call and Zachary walked out of his unit and locked the door behind him. He walked down to his parking spot and then entered his Cobalt on the driver’s side. Zachary then fired up the engine and put it in gear as he prayed, “Heavenly Father, thank you for all that You have done for me. Thank You for Your love, your grace, and your mercy. Of course, thank you for Tiffany, and please keep us together, but don’t let us idolize each other. Lord, please grant me safe travels as I go to pick her up, and please watch over us all evening. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.”
Zachary drove in silence until he pulled up at Mrs. Judith’s house. He parked in the driveway then stepped out and walked to the front door and rang the bell.
Mrs. Judith answered, “Well hello again, Zack.” She paused, then continued, “Tiffany is still getting ready, but just sit in the living room and make yourself at home.”
“Yes ma’am,” Zachary replied.
“What are your plans with Tiffany this evening?”
“I want to take out and eat some Italian food and then purchase her some art supplies.”
“Wonderful. And I think that eating Italian cuisine will put Tiffany in the mood to be creative since there are so many famous artists from Italy.”
“She tells me how her parents used to burn her paintings, simply because they wanted her to have what they thought was a real job.” Mrs. Judith paused then continued, “I know my late husband never got me pregnant, but I would have never been so cruel to any child of mine.”
“How did you meet your husband if you don’t mind me asking?”
“Well, like Tiffany, I was a fat girl and many kids teased me. Shortly after I turned eleven and there was this sweet but shy eight-year-old boy who moved into my neighborhood. He was the only one who would play with me. But we had to go play together in secret because, at the time, boys and girls weren’t allowed to play together. We just secretly met every day over the years and our feelings for each other became stronger and stronger. So we decided we would get married as soon as he was legally able. I loved him and I know he loved me. We were married in 1959, and because of the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction from the Cold War, we decided to start going to church, and from there we surrendered our hearts and lives to Jesus Christ. Then in 1967, he was drafted. He didn’t want to leave me and go but knew that the Bible required us to comply with the orders of our government. I remember the night before he reported to duty-it was the most romantic moment of my life and my most cherished memory of him. Because in 1968 he was killed in a helicopter crash in Vietnam.” Tears then filled Mrs. Judith’s eyes.
Zachary was at a loss for words.
What broke the sadness was Tiffany came walking out of the hallway dressed in an evergreen blouse and a black dress skirt that went just below her knees.
Zachary looked at her and said, “Good Lord, sweetheart, aren’t you beautiful?!”
Tiffany giggled and said, “Thanks bae. I am just happy to be in some new clothes now.”
They subsequently embraced each other with sweet affection.
“Are you ready to go eat?”
“Yes. I am hungry.”
“Well let’s go and you can eat until your heart is content.”
“Let’s go!” Tiffany said with happiness.
“Y’all have fun and be good,” Mrs. Judith said.
“Pray for us,” Zachary said.
“Yes, please do,” Tiffany added in.
“I sure will,” Mrs. Judith replied.
With that, Zachary and Tiffany walked to the Cobalt, then Zachary opened the passenger door for Tiffany, to which she stepped him and kissed him multiple times with passion.
Zachary then entered on the driver’s side started his engine and then put it in gear as he prayed, “Dear Heavenly Father, as always we thank You for all that You have done for us. We especially thank You for putting us together and fervently request that we are never torn apart. Likewise, we pray that not only do you draw us closer together, but you draw us even closer to you. Please grant us safe travels and be with us everywhere we go tonight. We make these prayers in Jesus’ Name, Amen, and thank You, Lord.”
“You pray so beautifully, Zack.
“Thank you, Tiffany, as you know I am expressing to God what is on my heart.”
“I especially love how you continuously pray for God to keep us together.”
“Well, right now that is the greatest desire of my heart.”
“I love you so much, bae!”
“I love you too, sweetheart.”
Zachary and Tiffany then held hands as they drove to town and then to the Italian Buffet restaurant.
Zachary parked his Cobalt, then stepped out of the driver’s side and walked over to the passenger side, and opened the door for Tiffany.
She stepped out and kissed him. They embraced and then their faces met as they rubbed noses and fired many kisses at each other until a bitter middle-aged woman threatened to call the police on them.
Humbly they walked into the restaurant where Zachary paid and included a tip. They were then given a booth.
Zachary and Tiffany then served themselves each a plate of food.
Tiffany served herself some spaghetti and meatballs, a garden salad, a few slices of various kinds of pizza, and some breadsticks. Zachary served himself a penne chicken Alfredo pasta, also a garden salad, and some Zuppa Tuscana.
When they filled their plates, Zachary and Tiffany sat down and said grace, “Heavenly Father, we thank You so much for this wonderful food we are about to receive. We thank You for our time together and we thank You for putting us together. Let nothing come between us. Please help us to honor and glorify You with our lives and our relationship and please bless this food for the nourishment of our bodies to Your service and Glory. In Jesus’ Name, we make these prayers, Amen.”
They began eating.
Tiffany was quite hungry and she was wolfing down her meal.
Zachary also ate considerably fast, but he watched Tiffany with admiration.
“I’m sorry that I eat like a pig, Zack.”
“I think you’re so cute when you eat, sweetheart.”
“I know what you’re doing, you just want my butt to get bigger!”
“Bigger or smaller or anything in between I would still want you.”
“And I would still want you too, Zack. You’re so sweet!”
“I love you!”
“I love you too.”
They soon finished their first plates.
“By all means, go back for seconds, sweetheart. In fact, try this Zuppa Tuscana, it’s wonderful!”
“Okay bae.” Tiffany said with a wide smile.
Tiffany then scooped some penne Chicken Alfredo Pasta and some Zuppa Tuscana along with some cheese ravioli. Zachary spooked some spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, and breadsticks. Happily, they ate.
“Wow, Zack, this Zuppa Tuscana is amazing.”
“I’m glad you like it. This spaghetti and meatballs are so simple, yet so perfect. It would even compete with mine.”
“Honestly, I like yours better, though Zack.”
“Thank you, sweetheart, that means a lot to me!”
Tiffany blew Zachary a kiss then they finished their second plate.
“Would you like a third plate?” Zachary asked.
“If I do, let it be dessert. I’m getting full.” Tiffany said as she held her stomach.
Zachary discretely bent over and kissed Tiffany’s belly as he said, “You’re so beautiful!”
Tiffany kissed Zack on top of his head and told him, “You’re quite sexy yourself!”
They then got up for dessert.
They each took a cup of Swiss Mocha, some chocolate swirl ice cream, and some oatmeal spice cookies.
Happily, they sat down and finished their meal, then left.
Zachary walked Tiffany to his Cobalt and he opened the passenger door for her, to which she kissed him and stepped in.
He then entered on the driver’s side and started his engine, put it in gear, and prayed, “Heavenly Father, we thank You for such a lovely meal and we thank You for all the blessings upon our lives. Please keep us together and protect us from all who wish to cause harm. Please also grant us safe travels and bring us ever closer to each other and You. We make these prayers in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Zachary then said, “Would you like to go get your art supplies?”
“Sure,” Tiffany replied.
“Where do we buy them?”
“At that store in the mall where we met.”
“Then let’s go!”
Zachary and Tiffany drove to the mall and parked.
He then stepped out and opened the passenger door for Tiffany to which she kissed him.
They then walked to the art store.
“Get whatever you want or need, I should have enough money.”
“Okay bae,” Tiffany said as she kissed him yet again.
Tiffany grabbed some pencils, brushes, paint, canvas boards, a sketch pad, and an easel.
Zachary then paid and they left the store.
“Before we get in your car, bae, I have to potty, like really badly,” Tiffany said.
“As do I,” Zachary replied.
So they walked to the bathrooms and then relieved themselves.
Afterward, they walked to Zachary’s Cobalt, to which he opened the passenger door for Tiffany and she kissed him. He then placed Tiffany’s art supplies in his trunk then locked it.
Zachary stepped in on the driver’s side, put his car in gear, and then prayed, “Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for all the blessings you have given to us. Thank you for giving me the ability to supply Tiffany with what she needs to pursue her art career. Please allow and compel her to create some art that honors You and gives You glory. Also please keep us together and protect us from all attacks, both carnal and spiritual. and please grant us safe travels as I bring Tiffany home. In Jesus’ Name, I make these prayers, Amen and thank You, Lord.”
“I’m getting sleepy, Zack. I think I will go to bed as soon as I get in.”
“May I tuck you in and give you good night kisses?”
“Of course. In fact, you better do that!”
“I love you so much, sweetheart!”
“I love you too, bae!”
Zachary and Tiffany then drove to Mrs. Judith’s house holding hands the entire way.
Upon arrival, Zachary parked in the driveway, then stepped out the driver’s side and opened the passenger door for Tiffany, to which she lovingly kissed him. He then removed the art supplies from the trunk and carried them in.
They then walked to the front door and rang the bell.
Mrs. Judith answered and let them in.
“I’ll be going right to bed,” Tiffany said in a sleepy voice.
“I would like to set Tiffany’s art supplies down for her,” Zachary added in.
Mrs. Judith nodded.
Zachary and Tiffany walked to the bedroom.
Tiffany let her skirt fall to the floor, revealing her lavender panties. She then took off her blouse, revealing a red sports brassiere.
Zachary beheld her with a mixture of admiration and lust. He then planted kisses all over her as he caressed her love handles, then her lower back, then her buttocks.
Tiffany giggled sweetly as she fired several kisses back at him then climbed into bed as Zack tucked her in and covered her gently.
They shared several more kisses and then those three little words.
Zachary then left and closed the bedroom door behind him.
Mrs. Judith was waiting in the living room, to which he told her, “Good night.”
“Good night, young man. Be careful.”
Zachary exited the front door and Mrs. Judith locked it.
He then walked to his Cobalt and entered. He started the engine and then put it in gear, then took the road as he prayed, “Thank you Heavenly Father for Tiffany. I love her so much, so please keep us together. Let us always honor You in all of our ways and draw ever closer to You. Please give me safe travels as I head back home. In Jesus’ Name, I make these prayers, Amen.
In silence, Zachary drove to his apartment. He parked in his assigned spot, walked up the stairs, and then entered his unit.
Subsequently, he locked the door, and then texted Tiffany, “I safely arrived at home, sweetheart. I love you.”
Seconds later she replied, “Thank God! I love you too, bae!”
Zachary then took off his going-out clothes and went straight to bed.
