So, to explain the featured image on this page, it is a collection of items that are used by the main character, Logan Baines.  Some he EDCs others he uses for his job as a tractor mechanic.

I had begun writing the story that came to be known as, “Radiant Affection”, back in the earlier parts of 2012. At the time I wrote this synopsis in 2022, I have an idea of where I wanted to go with it and how I want to conclude it, but I just haven’t had the emotional energy required to do so.

My purpose for writing, “Radiant Affection”, was to create a replacement for the original version of, “The Textfile.” I had realized that the original version of that story painted Christians in a negative light, so I wanted to destroy and replace it with something better.

“Radiant Affection” is a love story between a twenty-two-year-old tractor mechanic named Logan Baines and an eighteen-year-old high school senior named Mila Gunther. They had crushed on each other for the previous five years but were unable to be in a [legal] relationship, due to their ages.

Because “Radiant Affection” is one of my “Public Displays of Affection” stories, that means it entails a romantic couple that suffers an oppressive authority that forbids their relationship. In this case, it is Mila’s corrupt catholic school president, Kieth Koresh, and the roman catholic religious system in general.

While there may be a minority of roman catholics that have truly come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, I believe that the majority of them are lost and need to be saved. The complete hierarchy of the roman catholic church hinders and hides the true message of the Gospel and teaches other blatant blasphemies. This is why, despite attending catholic school from pre-school to high school, I can no longer endorse the roman catholic church with a clear conscience. This reason is also one of the reasons why I wrote, “Radiant Affection” and some of my other “Public Displays of Affections” stories in the first place. In “Radiant Affection”, I will point out some of the hypocrisy, lies, blasphemies, and other sins committed by the roman catholic church, while at the same time, trying to tell a beautiful romance story.

Without further ado, I present to you the synopsis:

The story begins on the morning of February 9, 2006, at Seven Hills Roman Catholic High School. Mila Gunther, a shy, self-conscious and pleasantly plump eighth-grader is sitting in her Mathematics Class. Her teacher also teaches Advanced Math to seniors. Suddenly, Logan Baines, a skinny, intelligent, and in Mila’s eyes very sweet and handsome, senior, walks into the classroom to retrieve his assignments. Logan is running a high fever and is leaving school for the day. At the sight of Logan, Mila becomes very giddy and starts smiling at him. Logan notices and smiles back at her. Because of her excitement, Mila is unaware of her leg movements and accidentally flashes Logan. Logan saw underneath Mila’s uniform skirt and blushed brightly. Both are virgins and Logan has a reverence for any decent girl and Mila was no exception. He was nervous and anxious, yet passionately attracted to what he had just seen. They become fixated on each others’ gaze. The teacher then told Logan that he may leave now and even questioned whether or not he was running a fever. Before this, Mila and Logan had seen each other in the halls multiple times. Logan was the only boy who would smile at her and open doors for her. Because of her weight, no other boy paid any attention to her, so she thought tremendously highly of Logan.

The day dragged on for Mila.

Upon arriving home, she went up to her room and wrote many love stories. The hero of all these stories was, of course, Logan Baines. The character that she based herself upon was Logan’s lover but remained nameless.

The next day was Friday, February 10, 2006, and Mila walked all around the school looking for Logan. Finally, she saw him sitting in the library, reading a science magazine. She logged on to the computer nearest him and continued writing even more of her fantasies about him. Now and then she would look up from her writing and stare at Logan. When she finally caught his attention, the bell rang. She winked at Logan, to which he blushed again. Despite her weight, Logan thought she was absolutely beautiful. He desired her tremendously but knew at present that they couldn’t be a couple, due to the statutes on the books. From that point on, every time they saw each other at school, both were filled with great infatuation. Mila’s infatuation soon grew into an obsession and she continued to post those stories online.

On the evening of Thursday, April 27, 2006, Logan came across Mila’s webpage. He was shocked, but would consistently read the material. Logan never once thought that Mila was the author. Rather he thought it was the work of one of the cruel girls in his senior class.

On the morning of Saturday, May 20, 2006, the graduating ceremony was held for Logan’s class. Mila snuck in and stayed at the very top bleachers. When Logan’s name was called out, Mila fought back tears, wondering if she would ever see him again. After the ceremony, Mila went home and started writing yet again. It became her heart’s desire that she and Logan would somehow, someday be together.

Throughout the Summer of 2006, Logan worked various part-time jobs, while Mila focused on her writing. Both also tremendously desired each other and remained virgins. No one else seemed to measure up, for either of them.

In the Fall of 2006, Logan started trade school and his concentration was Diesel Power Equipment Technology. He was a model student and was able to pick up the trade with great ease.

When Logan graduated from trade school, he joined a missions trip to Eastern Europe. Knowing that wheat was grown there in abundance, he thought it was an opportunity to gain experience and have something for his career and resume`. While working there, he met a missionary pastor named Michael Clarkson.

On the evening of Wednesday, February 25, 2009, Logan was finishing up his day’s work in Eastern Europe and headed to Pastor Michael’s Bible Study.

During this Bible Study, the roman catholic church was exposed as not being of God

Some had walked out, but Logan’s attention to Pastor Michael was undivided.

At the conclusion, Logan approached Pastor Michael privately stating that he was raised in catholicism and now knows that it is false. He pleads with Pastor Michael on what he must do to make it right.

Pastor Michael presents the True Gospel to Logan and Logan surrenders to it, thus becoming a Christian.

Immediately, Logan became Born Again.

Pastor Michael instructed Logan on how he must share this truth with everyone he meets.

Several catholic priests had Pastor Michael Clarkson banned from missionary work on the grounds of teaching hate.

Logan’s skills were highly valued, so he continued working in Eastern Europe. Many of the local girls tried to catch his eye, but every time, he could only think of Mila and turned every one of them down.

In the Fall of 2009, Mila had grown into a beautiful young lady. He parents had since divorced and she took thyroid treatments which resulted in weight loss. Now many boys had desired her, but she remembered how none of them would even give her the time of day when she was overweight. Whenever one of those boys made a pass at her she politely refused them. However, she continued writing those fantasies about Logan Baines online. She revealed her secret to a few, but they all eventually thought of her as delusional.

On Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2009, Logan became homesick and took the last flight to the States home. All during the Christmas Holidays, Logan visited with family and friends. When normal business operations resumed, Logan applied for a job at a local tractor repair shop and was hired on the spot. Subsequently, he purchased a condominium and spent his evenings in the local library reading on his laptop. He realized that the secret webpage was still active. Those stories brought back memories of high school which in turn brought back memories of Mila Gunther. He realized that he still had feelings for her, even after all that. So Logan fervently prayed for a chance to see Mila again…

On Thursday, February 4, 2010, Logan had just clocked out of his work and drove to the local library, so he could read on his laptop. He grabbed his EDC bag with his laptop and walked to the second floor, plugged in and connected to the Internet. After looking at his email, Myspace and Facebook, he read the weather report, then noticed that a new story had been published on the secret web page.

At the same time, Mila had also driven to the library and walked to the teen section computers, and uploaded her latest fantasy. She then walked upstairs to begin her schoolwork.

Logan was just about to start reading the new fantasy when the stairwell door suddenly opened and in walked a girl in her uniform skirt. The girl reminded Logan of Mila and his eyes were fixated on her. After a few moments of staring, he realized that it was indeed Mila, just thinner and grown-up. Logan stood up and watched Mila in awestruck admiration.

Mila noticed and smiled sweetly. She did a double-take and realized that the young man staring at her was indeed Logan Baines, but with a more masculine look.

Mila exclaimed with excitement, “It’s him!” She then ran up to him and said, “I know you, you’re Logan Baines!”

Nervously but passionately, Logan replied, “Oh Mila, I cannot believe you remember me!”

They then tightly embraced!

Mila then humbly replied, “Well, you sure are hard to forget.” They awkwardly stared into each others’ eyes, smiling then Mila confessed how she had strong feelings for him when they went to school together and that she still does. She also stated how she thinks that he felt something for her as well because he would always smile and blush.

Logan tells her that it is true. He went on to say that he would have sought her out back then but was afraid of the law and wanted to spare her the humiliating scandal.

Mila replies that she is eighteen now she can be his girlfriend and they can do whatever they want.

Logan replies how he would be honored to have her and that he has a deep reverence for her body and soul and then became at a loss for words.

Mila tells him how those are the sweetest words anyone has ever spoken to her and the fact that they came out of his mouth fills her heart with ecstasy and giddiness.

She then pecks him on the cheek.

Their lips then lock

A city policeman who was working a security detail in the library shouted for them to knock it off or get out.

Mila then suggests that Logan come to her house and continues that her mom is either drunk or full of pills and that her dad left a year ago.

Logan asks if she has a car or does she want him to drive her.

Mila replies that her dad bought her a car just before he left her mom.

Logan then follows Mila home.

Upon arrival, Mila’s mom was sleeping on the sofa with the television tuned to some drama show.

Mila brings Logan up to her room.

Logan sat on Mila’s computer chair and Mila sat on her bed with her legs up.

Once again, Logan could see underneath Mila’s skirt.

Logan blushed until his face was a burning red.

Mila giggled and asked teasingly if Logan liked what he saw.

Logan tried to answer, but couldn’t as he continued to stare under Mila’s skirt.

Mila giggled even more and said that Logan can have her if he wants her and that she will be his first. She then asked Logan with distress if he will be her first.

Logan caught his breath and said that he will indeed be her first and that he has known no other nor does he want any other.

Mila then commands Logan to take her.

Logan states that he can’t because he is a child of God and fornication is wrong.

Mila says how he is hot when he talks about God and how women are turned on by that.

Logan blushed and then bowed his head and silently prayed.

Mila asked Loagan what was wrong.

Logan replied to Mila that he is very attracted to her and she is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and the only girl he has ever wanted.

Mila once again suggests that he take her then.

Logan states how he would if doing so wouldn’t offend the God Whom he loves. He went on to say how he is afraid God would punish him and cause them to break up if they fornicated. He then plainly told Mila that he doesn’t ever want to lose her!

Mila replied that she doesn’t ever want to lose him either. She then said how they don’t have to have sex and that he just showed her how sweet he is and that she always loved that about him.

Logan thanked Mila for being patient with him.

Mila asked Logan what would he want to do.

Logan replied how he wants to just hold her next to him and innocently snuggle so they can make up for the years when they were apart and finally get to know each other.

Mila asked if she ever turned him on when they were younger.

Logan told her about the time when she accidentally flashed him while he was running a high fever and retrieving his assignments. He went on to say how he liked her back then and figured she liked him too, but he felt so conflicted with great reverence, yet great lust.

Mila told him how she remembered that day as well and how he shouldn’t have felt conflicted and that it was proof that they were meant to be even back then. She went on to say that she could not believe he liked her even though she was so fat back then and how no other boys paid attention to her except you. She went on to say how after she lost weight many boys liked her but none of them measured up to you. She then finally confessed that she writes stories about him online but keeps her identity secret and how she did so ever since that day in class.

Logan replied how he read all those stories but had no clue it was her. He went on to say how he was turned on but never responded because he assumed it was someone trying to play a cruel prank.

Mila placed her face into Logan’s chest and sobbed saying it was her all along and that she poured her heart into it.

Logan then told her as he petted her hair that he thought they were all beautiful and he is even more touched now knowing that she was the one who wrote them.

Mila then pulled a lanyard with a flash drive from under her shirt and said she keeps them as text documents so they can all be close to her heart.

Logan kissed her and said that if he will have her, she can keep him close to her heart always.

They then exchange those three words.

Subsequently, they fall asleep in each others’ arms.

On Friday, February 5, 2010, Logan and Mila woke to the beeping of Logan’s watch alarm.

Logan kissed her and said, “Time to wake up, beautiful.”

Mila replied, “Wow, I thought it was only a dream.”

Logan told her how it is reality and better than anything dreams can provide.

They each visited the bathroom.

Mila then bathed and dressed.

After walking out of the bathroom, she teasingly lifted her skirt in front of Logan.

They then embraced and exchanged kisses with each one more passionate than the last.

They then ate a breakfast of banana nut muffins and skim milk in the dining room while Mila’s mom was still passed out cold.

For a spell they sat and held hands, smiling and admiring each other.

Finally, Mila said that she needs to go to school.

They eventually exchanged those three words then left.

After arriving from school, Mila had a beautiful smile radiating from her face, hence the title of the story. Her giddiness could also be felt by everyone whom she passed. She sat at the library computer writing her current fantasy until the bell rang.

As she was sitting in her first-period math class, the school president called the teacher over the intercom and told her to send Mila Gunther to his office.

The teacher motioned for Mila to leave the classroom.

Mila walked down to the office wondering why she was called.

In a grave, confrontational anger, Kieth Koresh began to question Mila about carrying on in a lewd way whilst wearing her school uniform.

Mila replied that all she did was kiss Logan Baines and that so many others get away with far worse.

Kieth Koresh went on to say how several civic leaders and local business owners were having a meeting in the library and heard everything you and Logan said to each other. He went on to say how that disgusting incident is the impression everyone in the community will have of the school. Kieth Koresh then said that he will only give her two Saturday School assignments, but he commanded her to break up with Logan Baines as part of her punishment and if they don’t break up, she will indeed be expelled.

Mila cries and says that she cannot break up with him because they love each other deeply and have been in love for four years.

Kieth Koresh says that he doesn’t care and to save it for her counselor. He then tells her to get back to class and not step out of line.

When school let out Mila called Logan and explained the situation to him.

Logan replied how that gosh durn Kieth Koresh has gone too far this time. He then sheepishly asked Mila if she still wanted him.

Mila says how she is not about to give up on their relationship after all this, but they are going to have to keep it covert.

Logan said how he will text her his address and that Kieth Koresh might know where she lives but doesn’t know where he lives.

Mila says how moving in with Logan would be all of her stories come true!

Logan then says how he gets off of work at half-past four and to meet him at his condo at five.

They then exchange those three little words and hang up.

Logan worked diligently until quitting time while Mila got ready and packed. Logan then cleaned himself and dressed, as he planned to take Mila out on a date.

At five o’clock Mila arrived at Logan’s place.

Logan greeted her then offered to take her to eat out and shopping.

Mila replied how it cannot be anywhere local in case they are seen together and word gets back to Kieth Koresh.

I will state that the main setting for this story, I would imagine takes place in the Houma, Louisiana area.

They decide to go out several cities over.

After the long drive, they come upon a mall. Logan and Mila

Therefore, the mall they are shopping at would be a combination of Clearview Mall, Esplanade Mall, and Lakeside Mall, all of which are located in the suburbs of New Orleans.

First, they eat at what is the equivalent of a Sbarro, then a Cafe` Du Monde.

Afterward, Logan purchases Mila an engagement ring (unknown to her) some gifts, and finally some sunglasses and a scarf to hide her identity whilst with him in public.

Logan then purchases her a Mini Maglite for her purse, since he always carried one since working in Eastern Europe because of the intermittent electricity.

He states that they should now go home because he has a surprise for her.

They then walk to Logan’s truck and drive home in the cold.

Logan purchases some fuel from a truck stop in a town based off of Raceland, Louisiana.

After filling up they drive straight to his condominium.

Logan walks Mila to his bedroom, then pulls the ring out of his coat pocket and proposes.

Mila all too happily agrees and then they fall asleep in each others’ arms.

On Saturday, February 6, 2010, Mila and Logan wake up in each others’ arms.

They eat breakfast together, to which Mila expresses her concern about gaining weight from eating oatmeal and maple syrup.

Logan replies how it wouldn’t matter to him whether she gained weight or not because he would still love and revere her.

Mila says how she was right to create all those stories because Logan is so sweet to tell her that.

Logan replies how he is in love with her heart not just her body.

Mila tells Logan to not be offended but she won’t wear Logan’s ring to Saturday School, because she doesn’t want to get it dirty but she definitely will be wearing it Monday morning.

Mila says how she will miss him whilst at Saturday school and that he cannot drive her there or pick her up from there because Kieth Koresh will expel her if he sees them together.

Logan then asks if he could read all of her stories on her flash drive.

Mila agrees then she copies them to his laptop.

Mila goes to Saturday School while Logan reads.

One of Mila’s enemies, Ashley Janus, points out how Mila is wearing men’s pants and how they must belong to Logan Baines. Mila is beautiful and Ashley is an eyesore, so she is jealous of the thought that Mila is with someone like Logan Baines.

Mila lies and says how she bought them at GoodWill.

Janus then shouts how Mila shops at GoodWill.

All the rich students laugh.

Kieth Koresh then wants to know if those pants do indeed belong to Logan Baines, to which Mila lies again and says how she bought them at GoodWill because she doesn’t want to ruin her clothes doing dirty work.

Kieth Koresh says for Mila to watch her attitude and that she is picking up trash because she acted like trash.

After the trash was picked up, they cleaned the locker rooms and then went to the library to study.

After Saturday School, Mila left and Kieth Koresh attempted to follow her.

Mila called Logan who instructed Mila to drive to the police station, to which he drove off.

Mila then drove to Logan’s condo.

Logan greeted her and told her to get out of those dirty, wet clothes before she gets sick.

He hands her a turtle neck sweater and sweat pants to warm her up.

They then go cuddle.

Mila attempts to make a sexual advance at Logan once again but he says he can’t for the same reason he previously declined.

Mila says that they are getting married though.

Logan says how he still wants to marry her but wants their relationship to be right in God’s eyes.

Mila asks why does that matter.

Logan replies that he has eternal life and wants her to have it as well.

Mila says how she wants eternal life, so they can spend eternity together.

Logan corrects her and says how she should want to spend eternity with God and that he (Logan) will be hers for as long as they both live, but if she turns God down, he will pray for her.

Mila tells Logan that she loves him.

Logan replies that he loves her too, but God loves her more.

They soon take a nap.

Mila tosses and turns, eventually waking Logan up.

Logan asks her what’s the matter.

Mila says how she heard in school all her life that the alternative to eternal life with God is hell and she doesn’t want to go there.

So, Logan presents the Gospel to Mila.

She eventually surrenders to it, stating that they need to marry as soon as possible.

Logan points out that her strong desire to marry him means that she is being convicted by The Holy Ghost.

They reverently cuddled in Logan’s bed until lunchtime.

After they both felt hunger pangs, Logan ordered them Chinese takeout.

After the food was delivered, Logan tipped the delivery man, then they went into the dining room and ate.

Mila suggests that they say grace, to which Logan leads the prayer.

They eat, then Mila says how she wants to be intimate with Logan but doesn’t want to offend God either.

Logan says they both should pray for an escape route from temptation.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

Mila goes hide in the bedroom, explaining to Logan that she doesn’t want to be seen at his place and word gets back to Kieth Koresh.

Logan tells her he understands then answers the door.

A younger busty woman is at Logan’s door.

Logan asks if he can help her.

She states that her boyfriend and herself are moving into the unit above them and if they could borrow a few things.

Logan asks what does she need.

To which she replies dishes and tools for hanging pictures and assembling furniture.

Logan agrees to get those things for her.

The young woman proceeds to step into Logan’s unit.

Logan reprimands her and sternly says that he doesn’t want her entering his property unless her boyfriend is present with her. Logan goes on to say how he is in a relationship with a young lady whom he deeply loves and reveres and he does want to be in a situation where one would even think he is cheating on her.

The young woman says she’ll go back and get her boyfriend in a few minutes, then left.

Mila came out from her hiding spot and told Logan how what he said and did was very noble.

Logan told Mila that she means everything to him and he cannot picture himself with anyone else, therefore he walks the chalk line for her.

They began to affectionately kiss each other until the doorbell rang again.

Mila went back to the bedroom.

Logan answered the door and the young woman was standing there with her middle-aged boyfriend.

They introduced themselves.

The middle-aged man said he was Walter Gunther, (Mila’s dad.)

The young lady then introduced herself as Fannie Jane Giddens.

Logan asked them exactly what they needed.

Walter said that he needed a couple of screwdrivers and a hammer.

Fannie then said that she also needed some dishes.

Logan then tells Walter that he is sorry if he seemed rude to Fannie, but he has a girlfriend whom he tremendously loves and reveres and he refuses to be alone with anyone of the opposite sex.

Walter replies how that’s not a problem as long as Logan doesn’t preach to him about having a younger woman.

Logan replies that he is twenty-two and his girlfriend is eighteen, so he can somewhat relate.

Logan then hands his new neighbors the borrowed supplies.

Fannie says how she is making some Southern Fried Chicken, to which Walters tells Logan to come over and bring his girlfriend.

Logan agreed with considerable reluctance.

Mila came out of hiding with tears in her eyes.

Logan asked her what’s the matter.

Mila replies how that man is her dad and he is now with a much younger woman.

Logan tells her that he is so sorry and asks Mila how is he able to afford to send Mila to catholic school, buy her a car, divorce her mom buy a condominium, and have a young girlfriend.

Mila replies that he is an attorney.

Logan replies how his mom is a librarian and his dad is a history professor and they struggled to educate him.

Mila then says how she doesn’t want to eat dinner with her dad and his new playmate and she doesn’t want him going either.

Logan replies how that is fine by him and is relieved because Fannie Jane Giddens is so nasty that she makes him uncomfortable.

Mila asks what will they do for dinner.

Logan replies how he can go to the West Side Grocer buy something and cook it for her.

Mila replies that she wants it to be something that is not too fattening because she was chubby until her junior year and is afraid that now she will gain it all back since she is in a stable relationship.

Logan replied how he thinks she was beautiful back then and that she is beautiful now. He went on to say that no matter how big or small she gets he will want her because of her inner beauty as well as her outer.

They then exchange those three words.

Mila expresses to Logan how if only making love to him wouldn’t offend God so much.

Logan then suggests that if Mila is concerned about her weight, he will cook something healthy and asks her if she would like steamed green beans and seared chicken breasts.

Mila says how that would be perfect and wishes they were married.

Logan kisses her then says that making groceries is their escape route from temptation.

Mila asks if she has to answer the door should anyone knock.

Logan tells her no and to not worry about it.

They once again exchange those three words then Logan leaves.

He drives to The West Side Grocer, purchases all the food and spices he needs, then sees Kieth Korest in the checkout lane with beer and whiskey on the conveyor belt.

Instantly, Logan pulls out his smartphone and snaps of picture of that.

Kieth Koresh bellows, “Logan Baines, what do you think you are doing?”

Logan replies, “I think I should ask you the same question.”

Kieth Koresh then says how he is a grown adult and can alcohol if he so chooses. He further states how he needs to drink after dealing with some of the students he has to deal with.

Logan asks him what would his students think if they saw him purchasing alcohol, yet suspend or expel them for doing the same. They would lose what little respect they have for him and now he has pictures as proof.

Kieth Koresh suggests to Logan that he quit now because he is messing with forces more powerful than he thinks.

Logan tells Kieth Koresh that he sticks his nose where it doesn’t belong and that he stalks his students.

Kieth Koresh angrily replies that it is his job to make his school look respectable to the community.

Logan then quotes Matthew 23:27 and says Jesus Christ, Someone Whom Kieth Koresh claims to follow said that and it perfectly describes what he and his school are truly like.

Kieth Koresh tells Logan that he can be his worst nightmare if he continues this subversive behavior, that he will be his worst nightmare due to his connections.

Logan warns that he will go to the police because of those threats.

Kieth Koresh says that the police will just laugh at him and stop the subversive behavior or this will get very ugly for him, then leaves the store.

The two cashiers, who were previously expelled for drinking at a party, encouraged Logan to make the pictures go viral and how they are witnesses to the threats made, should something happen to Logan.

Logan sent the picture to Mila

Logan then went home and was greeted by Fannie Jane, saying dinner is almost ready.

Logan replied how his girlfriend wanted something healthier.

Logan goes inside then he and Mila prepare dinner.

Afterward, Logan served himself and Mila, said grace then ate.

Mila was giggling as she asked Logan about the picture he took.

Logan explained, to which Mila said how Kieth Koresh is a hypocrite.

Logan said how Kieth Koresh caught him taking the picture and confronted him.

Mila became nervous and Logan asked if he did wrong.

Mila said he didn’t do wrong but now Kieth Koresh will look for more reasons to expel her.

Mila went on to say how her parents will take her car from her if she gets expelled.

Logan says how he will buy a car for her and she could post those pictures on her webpage if that happens.

Mila once again remarks about the temptations.

Logan replies that he feels the same way but doesn’t ever want to lose her.

They finished eating and cleared the table, placing the dishes in the dishwasher.

They then sat on the living room sofa together.

Logan said how he read all of Mila’s stories and they were the most beautiful stories he ever read.

Mila reminded Logan how he is the inspiration for them. and if he thinks they are beautiful then she accomplished exactly what she wanted.

Logan tells Mila to pursue a career in writing and goes on to say how he will pay her way, so she can focus on being creative.

Mila asked Logan if he would do that for her.

Logan replies that he would since they are getting married, but said not to glamorize fornication or any other sins in her writing anymore.

Mila agreed.

Logan asked her what does she want to do.

Mila suggested watching a movie.

Logan said he doesn’t have cable or DVDs so Mila said they could watch YouTube.

Logan asks if she would want to watch Pastor Michael Clarkson and explains that he is the preacher who led him to Christ back in Eastern Europe.

Mila agrees.

Logan then says how he will show Pastor Michael’s sermons exposing the roman catholic church and how it will explain why people like Kieth Koresh are the way they are.

Mila agrees to watch it.

The total length of the videos was two hours so, at their conclusion, Logan and Mila walked to the bedroom and fell asleep in each others’ arms.

On Sunday, February 7, 2010, Logan and Mila woke to the beeping of Logan’s watch alarm.

They shared a soft, sweet kiss, then each visited the bathroom, one after the other.

Logan then made some oatmeal and coffee for himself and Mila.

Mila walked into the kitchen and suggested that they should be in church because it is Sunday, but not a catholic mass.

Logan replied how he would love to take her to church but it would have to be one where word of them still being together would not get back to Kieth Koresh.

He began describing all of the good churches that are in the area and finally decides to attend one located a few miles to the northeast of them, known as Second Chances Outreach.

Mila said how she will go to her mom’s house and get a change of clothing.

Logan told her to keep him posted and they exchanged those three words.

Mila stepped out and walked to her car with a heightened situational awareness. When she confirmed that no suspicious persons were nearby, she left and drove to her mom’s house, parked in the driveway, and unlocked the door.

Mila’s mother shouted, “Who is there?” in an angry drunken stupor.

Mila replied, “It’s just me, mom.”

Her mom asked her where had she been.

Mila replied how she has a boyfriend now and spent the past two nights at his condominium.

Her mom then confronted her about the school calling her about kissing him in public whilst wearing her uniform.

Mila fully admitted to what she was accused of, then said how that may be wrong to a heartless person like Kieth Koresh, but she had been in love with her boyfriend since eighth grade. She goes on to say how a football player can lift a girl’s skirt in the middle of the school hallway and nothing happens to him, but she shares a consensual kiss from the sweetest guy ever and not even on school property, yet almost gets expelled.

Her mother asks why hasn’t heard about the boyfriend before.

Mila explained how for years it was only a fantasy that they would be together. She went on to say that he is four years her senior and couldn’t legally date him. But now she is eighteen and saw him in the public library last Thursday and confessed my feelings for him and he miraculously felt the same way and she couldn’t help but kiss him.

Mila’s mom said how he might just be trying to get in her panties.

Mila replied how she brought him home last Thursday while she was passed out on the couch. She went on to say how she threw herself at Logan but he declined because he is a Christian and she is one now as well, but they do [innocently] snuggle together every night since. Mila went on to show the engagement ring to her mom.

Her mom admits that Logan seems like someone wonderful.

Mila tells her mom that she needs to let him know that she safely arrived and how she was just coming to get a change of clothes for church.

She texted Logan how she arrived safely and is talking to her mom. Logan replied that he’s glad she’s safe. Mila then texted that she’ll get her clothes and come back in a little bit. They then texted those three little words to each other.

Mila selected her clothes, then came back downstairs and saw her mom taking a sip of wine. She confronted her mom that it was Seven on a Sunday morning and already she is drinking.

Her mom accused her of judging.

Mila said how the booze and the pills were a factor in the divorce.

Mila’s mom said how it was much deeper than that she turned to prescription pills and later wine as well because her husband never paid any attention to her. She told Mila that her boyfriend must be a hard worker if he can afford a ring like that but not to let him put his work before her. She then asks Mila what is his name.

Mila replies, “Logan Baines.”

Mila’s mom comments how that is a storybook name and asks what is his job.

Mila replies that he is a tractor mechanic.

Mila’s mom figures that Logan is twenty-two, the age she was when she married her ex-husband.

Mila asked when did it start getting rocky.

Her mom replied when Mila was starting high school.

Mila replied how he was under pressure because of him being the single breadwinner and having all those expenses, including her thyroid treatment. Mila went on to say that even at her heaviest in eighth grade, Logan would smile at her every time he saw her and he would blush and she thought he was so cute. Mila then told her mom how after she lost the weight many boys paid attention to her but none of them measured up to Logan.

Mila’s mom says she wants to meet Logan and make sure he is as wonderful as she says he is.

Mila says maybe after church today.

Mila then instructed her mom not to tell anyone that she and Logan are still together because Kieth Koresh’s terms for her to stay enrolled at school was that she break up with Logan. But instead of breaking up, she keeps it covert.

Mila’s mom stated how Kieth Koresh is a tyrant and a hypocrite and her lips are buttoned.

Mila then headed back to Logan and texted him.

When Logan stepped out of the shower, he replied for her to be careful, then shaved.

A minute later she knocked on the door and Logan let her in.

Mila commented how Logan smelled sexy, to which he replied it’s his Aqua Velva.

Mila told Logan how her mom wants to meet him after church and Logan said he would be honored.

Mila begs him not to get the wrong idea, to which Logan says he loves her and no family member of hers would change that.

Mila replies that she loves him too, then goes shower.

Logan waited and listened to the radio, but then decided to read his Bible.

He chose the chapter of Romans so he could prepare himself material to give to Mila since she was a new convert.

When he came across the 13th Chapter, he felt convicted, because of his desires to thwart Kieth Koresh’s authority, even though he could discern the wickedness of the roman catholic church. Logan prayed and was reminded how God will fight his battles as per Exodus 14:14. Therefore Logan decided not to blast that picture of Kieth Koresh purchasing alcohol online.

Moments later, Mila stepped out of the bathroom and told Logan she was ready.

She asked if they should take her car or his truck.

Logan replied that they should take his truck and for her to wear her scarf and sunglasses.

With that Logan grabbed his keys and EDC bag, then they stepped into his truck and headed for church.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by an usher named Marley Broderick. He instructed them to find a seat and that they have a gift bag for them after the service.

The pastor came on stage and introduced himself as Oakley Pechette and instructed the congregation that if anyone needs prayer or just someone to talk to, to see him after the service.

The praise and worship subsequently began.

After the song service and before the message, a lady walked up to Mila, identifying herself as Sister Tori, Brother Marley’s wife, and asked to have a word with her.

Mila agreed.

Sister Tori escorted Mila to the back room and asked her to take off her sunglasses.

She then apologized, saying she wanted to make sure the young man she’s with isn’t abusing her.

Mila explained how it’s nothing like that, explained about not being allowed to be with her boyfriend because of her catholic school president.

She then asked Mila if her boyfriend pressures her for sex, to which she said how she was the one that pressures him, but he is afraid God would punish them for fornication by splitting them up.

Sister Tori asked Mila if she was a Christian, to which she replied, her boyfriend led her to Christ yesterday and it was her idea to start coming here.

Sister Tori then asked Mila where was her boyfriend going to church before.

Mila replied how he just got back Stateside last Christmas but was doing mission work in Eastern Europe.

Sister Tori finally asked Mila how long has she known him, to which Mila replied for four years but they only became a couple recently and she told the story of how they were reunited and how when she was younger and overweight he was still very sweet to her.

Sister Tori then said how it seems like Mila has a wonderful boyfriend and she seems like a sweet young lady and how they would be happy if she and Logan joined. Sister Tori then eventually said how Mila and Logan will eventually have to get married. since they are living together.

Mila showed Sister Tori the ring.

To which Sister Tori said Mila does have a good man.

Mila finally said how she is so thankful to God for giving him to her, even though she wasn’t yet a Christian and God used him to lead her to Christ.

Sister Tori said that is a powerful testimony and for her to write it down and share it, then told her to go sit with her boyfriend.

They subsequently exchanged phone numbers.

Logan was intently listening when Mila walked back to him as Pastor Oakley was preaching on submitting to and praying for those in authority, which confirmed what he saw earlier that day in the Bible.

Mila listened as well and then felt distressed thinking that she isn’t being submissive to authority by covertly being in a relationship with Logan Baines.

She confessed these mental troubles to Logan, who suggested they talk to Pastor Oakley.

Pastor Oakley was shaking hands with everyone after the service.

Logan asked if they could talk to him.

Pastor Oakley replied, “Absolutely. Come to my office.”

After they were seated in the office, Mila opened up on how she had just become a Christian and it was the young man right here (Logan) who led her to Christ the day before. She went on to say how she feels very troubled about submitting to those in authority over her, explaining that her catholic school president is demanding that she and Logan break up as a punishment for kissing him in public while in uniform. She then says that she only pretended to break up with Logan, because she wanted to be with him for the past four years but couldn’t until she turned eighteen.

Pastor Oakley then looked at Logan and asked how he felt.

Logan straight up replied that he loves her and doesn’t ever want to lose her. He went on to say how the school president is obsessed with control and that the roman catholic church, in general, gets off on human suffering. Logan then stated that he’s convinced on how the 17th Chapter of Revelation is indeed describing the roman catholic church. Logan finally said that he had feelings for Mila for the past four years but couldn’t legally date her until recently. He backed up that statement by saying that he did missionary work in Eastern Europe for the past year and a half and many foreign women tried to catch his eyes, but he only ever wanted the young lady seated next to him (Mila.) Finally, Logan stated that when they met again in the public library and Mila told him her feelings, he was overjoyed, because his feelings are mutual, he has never known any woman or girl and wants no other woman or girl, and that he is willing to wait for marriage because he is frankly scared that God would cause them to split up as a punishment for fornication. He concluded that he loves Mila and wants her by his side for life.

Mila then asked in distress if she had to break up with Logan.

Pastor Oakley pointed out to Mila how Logan led her to Christ. He loves her. He is committed to her to the point of marriage. They have had feelings for the past four years. And neither of them wanted anyone else. He told them that he thinks God put them together for a reason and He will bless the relationship. Pastor Oakley also contended with the possibility of Revelation 17 describing the roman catholic church because there are many things in The Word that they are in direct violation of. He also stated his doubts about their school president being of God. Pastor Oakley paused and then said for Mila and Logan not to go out in public together and don’t tell anyone except for family and church members that they are still a couple. He instructed Mila to just go to school, keep her head low and stay quiet. He asked Mila when is her graduation.

Mila replied in May.

Pastor Oakley then explained that they only have to do this for a few months and how they wanted to be together for a long time but just be patient and use this time to grow together in The Lord.

Mila asked if she could stay with Logan because her dad is living with a younger woman and her mom is constantly drunk, but Logan owns a condominium and lives quietly.

Pastor Oakley says that Biblically it is not all right, but we are all guilty sinners in a fallen world and that is why Jesus went to the Cross. But given the situation, it would be better to be with Logan than around drunkenness and/or adultery. He then insisted to forego any sexual relations until they are married and that it will require much praying, reading The Word, listening for God’s voice, and quickly recognizing escape routes from the temptations that will arise. He finally said to make sure that no one from the school can find out that they are living together, to keep as low a profile as possible, and stay off the RADAR.

Logan and Mila thanked Pastor Oakley and he invited them to join the church to which Logan and Mila nodded in agreement.

He then asked if Logana and Mila set a wedding date.

Mila explained it would have to be sometime after graduation.

Pastor Oakley suggested not to wait too long, because of their cohabitation and mutual commitment.

Logan asked Pastor Oakley if he would perform the ceremony.

Pastor Oakley replied that he would be honored, but they need to continue coming to church.

Mila said she loves it here and it is so much better than a catholic mass.

Pastor Oakley then asked Logan for his thoughts.

Logan replied that he’s been back Stateside since Christmas and has been meaning to find a home church but got sidetracked securing employment, buying a condominium, and working but he loves this church as well. Logan went on to say that it is amazing how, while he was waiting for Mila to get ready he was reading from the same passage in Romans that was preached today and was heavily convicted, because of his revenge plots on Kieth Koresh, but God reminded him of Exodus 14:14 how He will fight his battles.

Pastor Oakley then asked Logan how he got saved?

Logan told the story of how he went on a missions trip as a newly graduated diesel power equipment technician, only to gain experience and have something impressive on his resume`, but was invited to a Bible study on what would have been Ash Wednesday 2009. A pastor by the name of Michael Clarkson presented an expose` on the roman catholic church and Logan believed it. He then realized that he needed to get it right with God, so after the class, he met privately with the pastor-teacher was led to Christ, and surrendered that very moment. Several catholic priests had Pastor Clarkson banished from missionary work shortly afterward, but he still watches his videos on YouTube all the time.

Pastor Oakley then stated how he will look up Pastor Michael Clarkson, then they exchanged names and contact information.

Finally, Pastor Oakley prayed over them, especially for their protection, from spiritual wickedness and carnal attacks from those in high places but also for them to live quietly and peaceably among all, for them to marry as soon as able, for them to have many years together to serve God and for them to be unequivocally faithful to each other and to treat each other with patience, kindness, reverence, and respect.

Logan thanked Pastor Oakley and commented that it was a powerful prayer.

Mila thanked him as well and interjected that it was so much better than she ever heard a [catholic] priest pray.

Pastor Oakley stated that it was his pleasure and asked what their plans were for later that day.

Mila stated how they are Logan is going to meet her mom and she hopes and prays for her approval.

Pastor Oakley asked what about Mila’s dad.

Mila replied that Logan met him already, but her dad doesn’t realize who Logan is to her.

Logan added that he hopes and prays both of her parents approve of him

Pastor Oakley advised Logan to allow his light of Christ to shine to them and show that he loves and respects Mila and there shouldn’t be an issue. He then said that it was nice meeting them and he hopes they can come back Wednesday Evening.

Assuredly Mila and Logan stated that they would be there.

Pastor Oakley said how that was wonderful and now he has to lock up and they have a family to visit and thanked them for coming as he walked them out of the church.

Logan then drove Mila to her mom’s house, thus beginning an unwritten gap in this story. It will require a tremendous amount of emotional energy to get this part into some text.

There is then a two-month and a couple-week gap until the next piece, where Logan meets Mila’s grandparents.

On Sunday, April 25, 2010, Mila and Logan were leaving after their church service. Mila was driving Logn to meet her maternal grandparents.

Lightning flared, thunder rolled and a cold rain began to fall.

Mila rolled up her windows and stated to Logan how she hopes her grandparents like him and she is a little nervous.

Logan replied how she will make it known how much he loves her.

Mila smiled and they began to hold hands.

Halfway to their destination, Logan’s phone alerted them to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and a Tornado Watch.

Logan told Mila to turn on her car radio and tune in the news station.

A meteorologist stated how a Severe Thunderstorm had formed and for listeners to get to safety because a tornado could form at any time.

They approached an overpass, to which Mila asked if they should park there until the weather passes.

Logan advises her not to because a tornado’s winds grow stronger in the columns and debris will hit harder.

Mila asked Logan where should they go and Logan replied to just get to her grandparents’ house as quickly as possible.

Logan then leads them in prayer, petitioning for God to protect them and everyone else from the dangerous weather and to bless their engagement, bless their relationship and allow them to marry. He finally asked God to protect them from their enemies and to be with them as they travel to Mila’s grandparents.

Mila said to Logan that she trusts him. Logan tells her she should trust God more. Mila then replies that she certainly does.

They pulled into the driveway just as the rains increeased.

Mila and Logan walked into the door and proudly introduced Logan Baines to her grandparents.

A bolt of powerful lightning struck and knocked off the current. Logan pulled a Mini Maglite from his pocket and said that ever since he worked in Eastern Europe he carried a flashlight on him.

Mila’s Paw Paw said, “Very smart, young man!”

Logan went to turn his Mini Maglite on but the bulb flashed and burned out.

Mila’s Paw Paw interjected asking why young people buy that trash., then retrieved a vintage 6 Volt lantern (quite possibly an Eveready Commander) from his utility closet and illuminated the room.

Logan subsequently dismantled his flashlight and removed a spare bulb from the tail cap and installed it into the head socket. Logan then turned his Mini Maglite on and Mila’s Paw Paw said how he stands corrected.

Mila then pulled her Mini Maglite out of her purse and said how Logan bought one for her as well, then turned it on. Her engagement ring sparkled by the light of the three flashlights.

Mila’s Maw Maw stated that her ring was pretty and wanted to know if Logan bought it for her.

Mila replied that he sure did and that is actually why they are visiting and went on to say how they have been engaged since February 5th and she should have told everyone much sooner.

Mila’s Maw Maw asked if she was sure she wanted to get married and how long has she known Logan.

Mila replied that it has been four years and love at first sight and that she was an eighth grader and he was senior. Logan graduated, became a tractor mechanic and worked in Eastern Europe but never forgot her. She then explained how they met by chance in the library last February and have been together ever since.

Mila’s Paw Paw remarked to Logan, “So you’re a tractor mechanic?”

Logan replied, “Yes, sir!” with a wide grin.

Her Paw Paw said that now he has someone who can always fix his old tractor. To which his wife gave him a dirty look.

Logan said that he would be very happy to do so and that he would like to see his old tractor.

Milas’s Paw Paw commented how it was made in Eastern Europe, maybe where he was working.

Mila’s Maw Maw then asked, “In all seriousness; why haven’t you told us about your engagement sooner?”

Mila replied that they have to keep it covert and went on to say the story of how they kissed in public while wearing her school uniform and word got back to Kieth Koresh who threatened to expel her if she didn’t break up with Logan and instead of breaking up, they keep it covert.

Mila’s Paw Paw then told his wife how he doesn’t think they need to make any more contributions to Mila’s school.

She answered him that he’s right but Mila shouldn’t have been kissing Logan in public either, then asked if they set a date.

Mila said that it will be definitely after graduation and that she graduates on May 23 and she hopes they are coming.

Her Maw Maw said of course they will come and her Paw Paw said he will make it their business to be there.

The power came back on and Mila’s Paw Paw said now he can cook them dinner (which means lunch to country folk) and how they are both welcome to stay.

Logan and Mila nodded in agreement.
