My parents have now forbidden me from seeing her since we got caught in my neighbor’s vacant house.
Because of that cruel decision, my heart feels ripped to shreds and it feels there are a thousand knives in my back.
It’s late at night and I cannot sleep.
I walk to my family computer and log on.
After a few minutes of looking at Expage and ICQ, I hear that all too familiar “uh-oh” sound.
This means I have a private message.
It’s from the girl whom I am so deeply in love with but strictly forbidden to see.
It reads, “Hey. I miss you so much. You’re the sweetest boy I’ve ever met and my one true wish is that I was holding you in my arms right now. My mom is away on a business trip right now and I have the house to myself. I’m going crazy being in here all alone and being forbidden to see you makes it that much worse.”
“How did your mom react when she found out about us almost doing it?”
“She was okay with it, I mean that is why I am on birth control, to begin with.”
“You know, you are so worth the wait and as soon as I turn eighteen, I’ll run away and stay with you even if it means staying under a bridge.”
“You’re worth the wait too. You have such a sweet heart and you’re so cute.”
“I’m blushing, but it feels wonderful.”
“What are you doing up so late anyway?”
“To tell the truth; I’m thinking about you. I can’t stop thinking about you either. In fact, you’re all I think about these days. I wish my parents and extended family could see how happy you make me and that you’re actually good for me, despite what they think.”
“We’re separated by cruel people who just refuse to understand.”
“If only I could get away from them.”
“Maybe you can.”
“Well, maybe we could meet somewhere and I could take you to my mom’s house.”
“I don’t want to say where online, in case the government is watching.”
“Do you have any money on you?”
“Yes. Three ten dollar bills. I’ve been saving them from doing odd jobs.”
“If you can sneak out, all you have to do is go to a truck stop, buy a phone card and call me from a pay-phone. Don’t say which one online, but I can come pick you up when you tell me over the phone.”
“Sounds like a plan and a half.”
“That’s such a cute saying, of course, you’re cute already.”
“Okay let me pack my things and try to sneak out.”
“I’ll be waiting by my cell phone.”
